Jeep brand does not cease to amaze. This time, the manufacturer has introduced a hybrid version of the Wrangler with the prefix 4XE. It joins the range of electrified Jeeps. The car features a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine with 272 horsepower. It works in conjunction with two electric motors. The total power of this SUV unit reaches 381 horsepower. The motor is charged by a 400-volt nickel-cobalt-manganese battery. With such a battery, the SUV is able to drive about 40 km.

Thanks to the power plant, there are three modes:
• Hybrid
• eSave
• Electric

In the first case, a gasoline engine and an electric motor will be involved. In the second case, the trip will be made only at the expense of gasoline. And in the third case, the SUV will drive only on electric power, until the car shows a critical charge mark. All the wiring between the battery and the engine is protected from moisture. That is why the SUV is able to submerge in water to 76 cm and be sure that nothing will happen to it.

The Jeep Wrangler 4XE Jl is available in several versions:
• JuSahara 4XE
• Rubicon 4XE
• 4 XE

In base and Sahara 4XE versions, the SUV is all-wheel drive, with a two-speed transfer case. The Rubikon has all-wheel drive, differential locks, and disengageable stabilizers for the transverse system. Sales of the SUV will start in early 2021 in China, Europe and the United States. In Europe the SUV will be imported with a 2.0-liter engine with an output of 272 horsepower.
